(Literary) A Tale of Two Cities from the Book by Charles Dickens, Everett Henry, 1957
It's not unthinkable to make a visual summary of a book, but to make it legible, interesting and engaging is a much higher demand. Everett Henry may have well been the master of being able to reduce an entire books into a type of map, and this may be one of his best. Here we get key locations, but also vignettes of key moments, with a dash of aesthetic of the period. This instance was printed on heavy stock and below it was a calendar for the years 1957 and 1958, still partially visible. Condition is very good with minor marginal repaired tears, and light soiling. Image size is approximately 16.5 x 20.5 (inches)
