Map of Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado.
This is an early example of a series of maps Mitchell issued in the 1860's. In this one Nebraska has its huge panhandle reaching to Utah and dominates the map. This is an exceptionally bright copy so the feature is all the more dramatic. Kansas, and Colorado now have today’s boundaries but there are few counties in Kansas and the Colorado counties are not shown.. What is today Wyoming north of Colorado was then part of Dakota.
Condition is very good, with bold hand color. Image size is 11.25 x 14.25 (inches).
