  • Map of Oregon and California....

This is one of the few maps to show the west divided into the two large territories, Oregon and Upper or New California, after the beginning of the Mexican War. Oregon occupies the entire region north of the 49th parallel to the Boundary of 1846 and there is a large inset of the Columbia River area with Astoria, Fort Vancouver and Oregon City indicated. There are numerous Indian tribes located and the Oregon Trail. The topography is simplistic but not unreasonable.

Condition is good, with light soiling and marginal dampstaining. Image size is 11 x 8.25 (inches).
