This is one of those maps that exaggerates a part of the nation and diminishes all others. While the style is now well knows we believe it originates with these maps by Wallingford. In this case New England is vastly exaggerated and many of its cities and resorts named. The remainder of the country is much diminished and its towns and cities scattered haphazardly. There is some tongue in cheek text as well. Very good.
