Not long after the change of possession, this map shows the full extent of what was the Mexican Empire, but with hand color distinguishing new boundaries for the expanding U.S. Now Mexico exists south the Rio Grande and the Gila River, as the massive territories of Utah, New Mexico as well as Texas and California cover the entire southwest. Throughout the Southwest natives tribes are noted, as well as towns and missions, and in California a bold dash of hand color notes the land of the gold rush.

Condition is very good, with hand color, and light discoloration to the centerfold. Image size is 13.5 x 16.5(inches).
