The region had a history of being explored and charted since Hernan Cortes in the 16th century, but here, thanks to work of "G. Dewey" (George Dewey, later to become U.S. admiral), the painstaking accumulation of data is honed into a crisp chart of Baja and the neighboring coast. A detailed reference noting the scads of coastal islands, placenames, ports and towns. Uncommon.
