Erwin Raisz was a cartographer and educator that produced hand drawn topographical maps that turned the complexities of terrain into a thing of beauty. This is one our favorite maps by Raisz, his Landforms of Mexico. From terrain and drainages to cultural features, it is a visually rich understanding of the nation, and complimented with two small thematic maps as well as an exhaustive text.
