A beautiful woodblock engraving of the heart of the Holy Land spanning from the southern coast of Turkey to just outside of eastern Egypt and the Sinai. This brilliant early work by S. Munster is another fine example of the renaissance man's efforts in cartography. Notes the major cities and towns and points of historic interest. Includes the Mediterranean island of Cypress, which has a large sea monster swimming just off its western coast.

Condition is very good. Image size is approximately 10.5 x 7 (inches)
