Tallis produced some to the most decorative maps issued in the 19th century. All have baroque vignettes and unique ornate borders. The map of Modern Palenstine is surrounded by five small vignettes relating to native life of the region including natives of Mount Lebanon, a gazelle, pelicans, a scene of Nazareth and Jaffa.
Condition is good with spot of foxing near the title. Image size is 13.75 inches x 10 inches with some outline color.
