Tallis produced some to the most decorative maps issued in the 19th century. All have baroque vignettes and unique ornate borders. The map of Northern Africa is surrounded by five small vignettes relating to native life of the region including scenes from Tunis, Algiers, Constantine, Marocco, Mogador.
Condition is very good. Image size is 10.5 inches x 13 inches with some outline color.
