A fine engraving of northern hemisphere showing the best of what was known for the time, and including some great hypothetical notations. Just southwest of Iceland is the mythical island of "Friesland", and also present looming off the west coast of North America is the island of California. Many placenames are shown throughout Europe and Asia, including national boundaries. Wonderfully primative at points. (McLaughlin #216)
