Tallis produced some to the most decorative maps issued in the 19th century. All have
baroque vignettes and unique ornate borders. The map of Northern Italy is the northern states
of Italy surrounded by four small vignettes relating to native life of the region including St. Peter’s
Rome and the Grand Canal Venice.
Condition is very good. Image size is 12.5 inches x 9.5 inches with some outline color.
