Map of the Greenwich Village Section Of New York City
When the Robert Moses, the "master builder" of NYC was redesigning parts of the city, adding highways and reconfiguring neighborhoods, he finally met his match. In wanting to put a highway through Greenwich Village, Jane Jacobs took up the cause and began to spearhead a movement to stop him, and maintain the mix of businesses and homes that made up the uniqueness of the Village. Locally produced, this map does an unparalleled job of illustrating the neighborhood, its businesses and some of the architectural styles throughout.
