A Chart of Manhattan
A promotional map for what was the epicenter of elite culture of the time, the posh Waldorf-Astoria. It was the temporary home of celebrities (Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland), presidents (Herbert Hoover), generals (MacArthur), gangsters (Bugsy Seigel), and even inventors like Nikola Tesla. This colorful pictorial map includes some of that glamour, as well as the regional character found throughout Manhattan.
