Oceanie
A stunning decorative map of the Pacific islands which spans from the coast of California to Japan and Asia, including all the islands as one region of "Oceanie". Major as well as minor island chains are identified from "Hawaii ou Sandwich" to the islands off the southern coast of New Zealand. Notably the continent of Australia is noted as "Australie ou Nouvelle Hollande". The surrounding decorative cartouche shows the natives of the islands relaxing in the jungle as well as scenes of harbors and sailors. The original outline hand color is still strong.
