Based off of the great 1755 map of the US by John Mitchell, this map focuses on the area from Lake Erie and Lake Ontario to Lake Champlain and western Connecticut, and is outstanding for towns, roads and early borders. Dense with notations for native tribes throughout, it does note the great Iroquois lands as “IROCHESI” as it spanned from present day Pennsylvania to St Lawrence.
