An interesting print from the time before the countrysides were bathed in man made light. This print illustrates two instances of natural gas wells as their light would "spotlight" into the skies above and make a dramatic scene. The larger image shows "Remarkable atmospheric phenomena produced by the burning gas", while the small inset image shows the natural gas "Comets".
Condition is very good, with some hand color. Image size is 15 x 9.25(inches).
