Based off of the thorough and up-to-date railroad maps produced by Cram, this map by Walker adds hand color to the counties and gives a nice presentation to a great reference. From towns and drainages, to railroads and the major mountain ranges, this map includes a key to identify to the eleven different railroads that were operating in the state at the time.
Does show an "Unassigned Lands" in the southwest portion of the state, without a Texas possession of "Greer County". SHows numerous proto-counties in the west with just letters ("E'", "D","C", etc..)
