Based off of the detailed work of the U.S. Coast Survey, this map depicts a wide span from the modern town of Navotas and Malabon in the north, down past Manila, and out to the Cavite peninsula and the nearby towns of Noveleta. It was a new era for Philippines at the time as the Philippine-American war was over and President Teddy Roosevelt had given amnesty to everyone at the time who had fought against the U.S. A local government framework was instated.
