A beautiful hand colored wall map for the US with the recent addition of the territories of Kansas and Nebraska. Surrounded with elaborate vignettes this map of the nation shows the states and territories in detail with the major trails of the West being shown as well as the progression of the railroad network. A great map for the era, accurate and up to date, set in the midst of important images of the presidents, the landing of the pilgrims, the senate and house chambers, as well as a large scene of the signers of the Declaration of Independence (complete with key to identify each gent).
Archivally framed with UV protective glass and acid free backing. Shipping and handling will be extra considering its size.
Condition is good, with some browning to the map, old folds and several small spots of loss with light wear throughout. Image size is 29.5 x 39 (inches).
