An excellent example of the meticulous and fine engravings that German cartographers were making in the late 19th century. With several maps on this sheet, a large map shows the Pacific coast of the Americas with fine detail for hundreds of island chains, and on the right over a dozen insets show specific islands. Insets give good focus for Hawaii, Honolulu, Tahiti, Marquesas and more A mix of both printed and hand color.
Condition is very good with some light age browning to the paper. Image size is 16 x 13.5(inches).
