A beautiful woodblock engraving of the heart of the Russia spanning from the Baltic to the primitively understood reaches of Central Asia or "Tartaria". This brilliant early work by S. Munster is another fine example of the renaissance man's efforts in cartography. Notes the major cities and towns and points of historic interest. This German edition has some text below the map.
Condition is good with some light even soiling. Image size is approximately 10 x 6.5 (inches) with the adjacent texts.
