(Sicily) SICILE
From a series of maps by Mercier, here a beautiful map for the island and its nearby neighbors. A two tone color process depicts the mountainous terrain from a smoldering Etna to the hills of Palermo and Messine. A product of its time, it retains a certain art deco influence, and strong palette of colors. Aside from the native work of firms like DeAgostini, this might be our favorite depiction of the island from the time.
