Probably one of the best British publishers, Johnston produced maps that were current to the changing world of the time, and sometimes from a very English perspective. Published in the late 19th century, this lithographed map has printed color, and nice detail. Here, southern Africa, its basic towns and terrain. Here Cape Colony, Natal and the Transvaal are shown established.
