A masterpiece for the continent at the time. This comprehensive and honest treatment of this vast land reaches inward from dependable coastal depictions toward the blank space of "Amazonia" and the great arid lands of the "Chaco", into the Andes, and down to Cape Horn and the Straits of Magellan. Dense with notations for people groups as well as drainages, towns and regional borders. A large inset in the upper right details The Falkans Islands, as a large and colorful title cartouche hints at the county and character of the continent. Condition is very good for both sheets which could be joined to make a dramatic wall map, there is some like minor foxing and offsetting. Image size for each sheet is approximately 20 x 47 (inches)
