A rare large pictorial map for the Magallanes region of South America, as its divided by the nations of Chile and Argentina. Depitcts a bit of the history and contemporary life of the remote region, which provided the maze of islands that Magellan navigated to reach the Pacific, but is also the mountainous region of wildlife and glaciers. All vignettes are narrated in English and Spanish. Insets show the proximity to Antartica, and another for "Torres Del Paine". Issued on a nice gloss stock, backed on foamcore. Uncommon.
Condition is very good with some light manuscript notations, and minor corner dings. Overall size is approximately 28.25 x 21.5 (inches)
