A good map of the still young state of South Dakota showing the settlement and development of towns and rail lines. Shows the situation of the counties and native reservations, and also notes the vast tract west of the Missouri river that was "Opened For Settlement By Treaty of 1889". Does detail the Black Hills well, and north of it shows a notation of a Indian skirmish of "Hills where the Crows were Killed".

Condition is good save for a close lower margin and a repaired tear in the lower left. Image size is 13 x 19.5 (inches).
