A fun map with an insider's view of the city for the time. With a soldier's perspective on sights and points of interest, this gives a very local view of the city which was still just 1.8 million people at the time. Showing the roads and rail lines, it gives a soldier a sense of reference for their interests, and includes some local history. Our first encounter with this map, it's interesting to see how often the homesick soldier includes U.S. placenames as if it wasn't too far from home (arrow shows "To Miami")
