National Aeronautics and Space Administration Skylab Mission Chart
It was the conceptual next step in space exploration, an ongoing space station orbitting earth. Skylab would be a little over 230 miles above the earth orbitting it every 93 minutes providing a platform for experiments in science, medicine, technology and more. This map charts the orbits and tracking stations that would support skylab as it would operate for the months to come. In 1979, it made an uncontrolled, unmanned reentry to earth, leaving debris in a few places, but a significant chunk landed in Australia, for which the US was fined $400, for littering.
