An excellent example of the meticulous and fine engravings that German cartographers were making in the late 19th century. An amazing map for the rapidly developing south eastern portion of the continent. Spans from Kangaroo island up and around to Hervey Bay and the Swain Reef. An incredible gem for showing detail in the hills, and full notations for towns, terrain, rivers, regional boundaries, all are shown with precision. A mix of both printed and hand color.
Condition is very good with some light age browning to the paper. Image size is 16 x 13.5(inches).
