(Technology - Photography) Photographic Test Chart, McKay, 1938
The early twentieth century was marked growth in technology and its accessibility, as well as a wealth of social and cultural change. As amateur photography began to grow, there was also a shift in how it was perceived. The term "art" had been applied to something you imagined and crafted and created, like painting or ceramics, but slowly photography was beginning to be viewed as a medium for artistic purposes, like any other material. Small groups of photographers began to work together and hone their craft, and whole streams of independent, amateur photography began to bloom. This trif-old chart assists the photographer in fine tuning his craft, whether in black and white, or in color. Tight patterns of all types and angles, and color ranges spanning into the darkest hues allow for dialing in higher quality images. Condition is very good, some light scuffing, but mostly not to the images. Comes with its instruction booklet. Overall size is approximately 15.25 x 20.5 (inches).
