The desirable map of the western territories showing Utah and New Mexico at their greatest extent, both running all the way to the California border. Includes many explorers routes (Fremont) as well as part of the Santa Fe and Oregon trails. Each territory is hand colored by its counties which are mostly huge tracts running east to west. Note many towns and early cities as well as basic terrain. Notably shows Colorado and the Rocky Mountain front range when is was just the western edge of the "Kanzas" territory.
Condition is good, with some marginal soiling and damp staining. Very framable. Image size is 12 x 15 (inches).
