Territory of Wyoming
A rare and handsome map of the territory when it was still divided into five large vertical counties. Shows the some basic terrain and river systems and what deveopment existed at the time. A large "Wind River of Shoshonee Indian Reservation" is shown, but smaller notations also show resources claimed by the US government such as "US Wood Reserv" and "US Hay Reser." Across the southern portion of the state the right of way for the transcontinental railroad is shown spanning 20 miles on each side of the track. Hand colored by county.
