The Rocky Mountains
A classic image of an Indian encampment along the Platte River. A crisp steel engraving on dense stock, it is taken from a famous painting by Whittredge (which is on display at the Denver Art Museum). Colorado was still as territory at the time, and it conveys a real sense of the front range, and an era long gone.
