(U.S. - Sports) Find Your NBA Destination, Anon - ESPN, 2008 Starting as an advertising campaign with commercials showing NBA greats together road tripping across the U.S. in a motor home, this map came soon after. Individually issued on a thick stock, this map notes some of the legendary spots related to the game, as well as places like Yao Ming's restaurant in Houston, or Carmelo Anthony's custom car shop ("Capone Carmelo Kustoms") in Denver. But the real shift is that in conjunction with Google earth at the time, there was a very creative interface for the theme of basketball on Google earth, complete with 3D imaging for key buildings, putting historic player's faces on mountains (Bill Walton!) and much more. While this is an uncommon and great map for the culture at the time, the real historic point is the pivot to digital media as a greater investment and focus. Condition is good with some scuffing and misfolds. Overall size is approximately 18 x 24 (inches)
