(US - Native) Indian Country - native tribes and cultures, Poteshman, 1971
It's a generalized map of locations for native peoples, and while its decorative and artistic, it might immediately get some things right. First it shows approximate areas that are just placed in regions, there are no imaginary hard borders. But perhaps most telling is that the lands of several native groups extend passed the borders of the U.S. Tribal people in the north ranged into modern day Canada as well as Montana or Washington, just as peoples along the southern border once existed in Mexico as well as Arizona and New Mexico. Does show the native "reservations as of today", as well as the "cultural area" of some groups of tribes. Condition is very good. Image size is approximately 20.25 x 27.25 (inches)
