(VA. - Alexandria) The New Alexandria, Anon., c. 1990
From the viewpoint of the recently completed "Transpotomac Canal Center" which was going to "wake up the waterfront", this view does its best to ignore its more popular neighbor. Not mentioning D.C., but showing the Capitol and Washington monument, towns and airport are noted along the beltway, as it gives way to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the rest of the country beyond. With the coast noting Hollywood and the Golden Gat Bridge, the rest of the world is minimally shown as lumps, with a solitary flag shown for "Amsterdam" (maybe because it was a Dutch firm that funded the new canal center project). Condition is good with some minor aging and spots at the bottom, else very good. Overall image size is approximately 33 x 24 (inches)
