Tallis produced some to the most decorative maps issued in the 19th century. All have baroque vignettes and unique ornate borders. The map is of the large island of the the southern coast, Tasmania and shows vignettes of Hobart Town, the residence of the circular head, a medallion and Tasmanian devil.
Condition is very good with a close left margin. Image size is 14 inches x 10 inches with some outline color.
