Tallis produced some to the most decorative maps issued in the 19th century. All have baroque vignettes and unique ornate borders. The map of Venezuela, New Granada, Equador and the Guayanas is surrounded by four vignettes relating to native life of the region including scenes from Paramaribo, Fall of Bagota, and Chimborazo.
Condition is very good with a close top margin. Image size is 10.25 inches x 13 inches with some outline color.
