A depression era project that looked at harnessing the Columbia for irrigation and later power creation. First proposed in 1917, by the 1930's had gained momentum and with it some controversy. Here a stylized sketch birds eye of the region, from the western edge of Montana and the Idaho panhandle, through eastern Washington state. Shows towns, roads and the irrigation area south of the Big Bend Wheat Belt.
