An excellent example of the meticulous and fine engravings that German cartographers were making in the late 19th century. With several maps on sheet, it shows the western portion of the continent, tasmania, all of New Zealand, along with an inset for the isthmus of Auckland. An incredible gem for showing detail in the mountains, and full notations for towns, terrain, rivers, regional boundaries, all are shown with precision. A mix of both printed and hand color.
Condition is very good with some light age browning to the paper. Image size is 16 x 13.5(inches).
