(West Coast) Carte De La Partie De La Cote Nord - Ouest De L'Amerique Reconnue pendant les Etes de 1792, 1793 et 1794...
A large and amazingly accurate chart of the West Coast of North America by George Vancouver. Vancouver gained valuable experience in serving on Capt Cook's second and third voyages, but is best known for his detailed mapping of the West Coast, specifically the inner passage up toward Alaska, and most importantly, dispelling the concept of a "Northwest Passage". This large fine engraving spans from San Diego, up to just beyond Kodiak island in present day Alaska. A landmark map of the coast.
Condition is very good with the typically close left margin. Image size for each map is approximately 23.25 x 29.75 (inches)
