Documenting the rapidly evolving West, this map shows a glimpse from the eastern portions of Montana, through the Dakota territory and down to Colorado. A good resource for the major cities and towns, major terrain and drainages as well as county boundaries. Here Wyoming is divided into 4 vertical band counties with few towns. Colorado is growing rapidly and the Indian reservations on the eastern plains has been removed to form a "Greenwood" county, which would later be extinguished.
