This is an unusually good map of the southwest featuring an large and dramatic California as an island with unusually good detail of that feature. Numerous place names appear along the coast including San Diego, Santa Barbara and others familiar to us today. On the mainland several settlements are in New Mexico including Santa Fe and Taos. They are surrounded by Indian tribes including the Zuni, the Apache and the navajo. The Rio del Norte flows westward to the Pacific. The color is excellent.
Condition is good, with crisp gold frame and light tan mat. Overall size for each is approximately 15.25 x 13.75 (inches)
