(West - Geological) Map Illustrating the General Geological features of the Country West of the Mississippi River, Compiled from surveys made under the order of W.H. Emory...
This map, similar to its parent Emory map, was issued with Emory's report on the U.S.-Mexican Boundary Survey but this map is not included in most copies and is not noted in Wagner Camp. It is the first geologic map to focus on the entire west. It is drawn on a base of the Emory map but the background is simplified in detail to allow the geology to be emphasized. The map is hand colored to show twelve geologic periods and the lava/igneous rock region of the Pacific Northwest.
Condition is good with a repaired opening tear, but no loss. Image size is approximately 20.5 x 23.25 (inches)
