From an uncommon set of maps that feature different compositions for many of its maps of the West, here we have the southern plains to the Rockies which were covered with the still young and evolving "Kanzas" and "Indian" territories. Articulates tribes and placenames, as well as creeks, rivers and major terrain. The "Proposed Pacific Railway Routes" are shown here in purple, with Gunnison's route cutting across what would later become Colorado.
