Lucien Boucher (1889-1971) was a French poster artist active mostly in the 1950's who in cartographic circles is known for the work he did for Air France in which he produced a number of regional maps, world maps as well as zodiac celestial maps. His work is bold, colorful, stunning and sought after. This is one of his world maps, this on a mercator projection shows the continents and major islands, with dashes of regional color as well as decorative elements. Notes many cities, as well as those covered by Air France routes. Accented with metallic gold print. Issued on board
