(World) Bett's Portable Terrestrial Globe compiled from the latest and best authorities
Made on a very dense canvas, each gore is neatly sewn to the next, and when expanded stretches on its internal armature of ribs stretching out like an opening umbrella. Well detailed for regional borders and general hydrography and topography, it is well colored, with a soft red standing for all the possessions of the British Empire. Comes with its original paper board tube, largely labelled “Bett's Patent Portable Globe”. Condition is good with three small short splits emanate from the south pole area, which is pretty typically for this globe. Overall very bright and clean.
