It must have been hard for the French to imagine after the Great War that decimated a significant number of the male population that they would need to gear up for another war of the same scale or even larger. This promotional war bonds map conveys a bit of the steely resolve that would be needed to win again. Showing the vast lands that were part of the Allies territories and possessions, versus a smaller Germany, it gave a visual hope by scale. A bright instance of this original poster.
