(WWII - Southern France & Spain) H2
Sometimes refered to as "Escape Maps" this cloth map was what was issued to pilots as they flew missions with the intention that if they were downed they could find their way to safety. This two sided "silk" is actually printed on nylon cloth and features southern France and portions of southern Europe on one side and on the other Spain, nearby Africa and the Mediterranean islands and coast . Shows towns roads and railroads and some hydrography .
